Chapters 1-6

We use writing in many different ways. We use it for informing, reminding and for updates. We have many audiences we write for those we know, and those that are unknown. This makes it hard when writing memos, emails, scholarship essays, and so forth. If we don't know what our unknown audience wants to know, what they already know, and what they need to know. It's important to consider the demographics related to our audience such as: race, gender, any disabilities, and occupational stature.
Our genres are very important to know how and what to write. Since letters, memos, and reports all require different formats on writing. We must also think of our stance on the topic of choice. Our stance dictates the way our writing goes. The type of media being used must also be taken into account when executing a piece of writing. Times have changed, email has changed the way grammatical accuracy is used. Our spoken stories are much different from our typed, it is much harder to put ourselves into a stories than what many people believe. So in summary we have many things to think about when writing for our peers and our superiors.
